Actually, I cant get onto talkcrap either, but that's because I can't get any irc clients past my Uni's proxy. Which is lame.

All you need to do is copy cgi-irc into your cgi-bin. Edit the *.config to point to the room you want to use. Make sure the scripts are executable and voila, allegedly. I had to remove the .htaccess file but it keeps timing out when connecting.

the cgi:irc files i have configured it to point to talkcrap.net #lisa, i just need someone to bung it in their cgi-bin for me and provide me with the URL The Mi3 is having similar problems to me, university halls of residence block certian ports so no file-sharing apps and no IRC bastards ____________ |

I tried setting it up again yesterday. But it won't connect to anything. It runs but the connection times out.

alright i recently pilfered myself some webspace on a UNIX-type server CGI:IRC is ALMOST up and running ... exciting eh? i managed to connect but it is having the weirest effect on my web browser - it's all broken up in the frames! give me an hour or so and i will be about done, i hope and TheMI3 i will post the URL just as soon as i can see what the hell happens after i connect ____________ |
