I was planning making a complete English reference of the most used built-ins/functions/predefined variables of Fenix. The problem is that it is hard work. (seeing content wise). So I'm planning on making a funny little site where any people can add content. I have a complete list of all predefined stuff (thanks to Sandman for the ContexT syntax file). I remember Dazzy from flamingbird ever started with a wiki but it never got finished. And there's a pretty complete Spanish version. Problem is that not everyone speaks Spanish (including me) so I can't translate it. But when I make an interface/wiki online and you guys add content to it. That would be nice.

Also, take in mind people constantly update the Fenix platform with new dlls and files... Using one big reference would allow these developers to update the wiki online. Of course everything need to be backed up and moderated (for the sake of people with evil intentions).

Anyone got ideas? Anyone think this is not necessary? Anyone found a better reference with updated/updatable information?
.... ?

I think it is a great idea. If the site is easy enough and the layout is awesome etc, I wouldn't mind adding some shit to it.

I like the idea as we always have no good reference, especially with Flamingbird half broken (although some of the documentation is still accessable). I also might add something once in a while, I also added some stuff on flamingbird.

Ferret is/will be making a WIKI for Boolean Soup after she did the articles engine, so then we might also move all the content to Boolean Soup itself when it's done(if Dennis agrees ofcourse). But that might still take a while, so I cheer this project.

Fiona is making a WIKI for Boolean Soup? Is that Fenix related or something else or general? In any case, I'm trying to figure out a data model. (check my worklog (not Rhovanion's))

The idea is a simple wiki system for anything to do with game development, but the initial focus was on Fenix command documentation.

Great work guys, but I've found a using the Spanish documentation on FireBird2 a great help, and I don't speak spanish. It's not hard to work out, especially if you have an elementary knowledge of another european language (eg, french/german). You can translate pretty much as you read it, and if there are any words you can't work out, use the Dictionary in Microsoft Word (tools > language > translate).

Yeah i speak French, German, English and Dutch. Still not everyone has this ability (especially native English speakers), so it would be nice to have an English reference.

Fiona, if I am doing (check my worklogs) what you are doing, tell me because it's pointless when 2 people make the same thing.

I'm going to end up doing a wiki, where everyone will be able to edit it and it will instantly show up, it will be written with pretty much everything you could want in-mind.
If I'm right you're just doing what is basically a manual for Fenix, which is great in the meantime, because i don't know how long flamingbird will be there for.

When I do the wiki, I'm sure we can transfer everything, or more likely, keep them both, especially if yours may have some features that is beyond the scope of a wiki.
