1) Please ask our host why they have PHP running in safe mode. 2) Please ask them to turn off safe mode as it is a ridiculous restriction. In a nutshell a lot of file functions are restricted. Which is retarded. Main thing being, that if we create a folder or file with PHP commands, we then can't edit it with PHP. Granted, nothing on BS does this yet, but it may in the future I'ld like to know that we can. ____________ laffo |

Quoting PHP Manual: The PHP safe mode is an attempt to solve the shared-server security problem. It is architecturally incorrect to try to solve this problem at the PHP level, but since the alternatives at the web server and OS levels aren't very realistic, many people, especially ISP's, use safe mode for now. http://nl2.php.net/features.safe-mode I'll ask them, though I hope you're sure this is caused by safe mode. The manual makes me think the host is not going to turn it off. ____________ Personal website: http://www.loijson.com |

Thank you very much. There really is no reason for safe mode to exist to be honest, it just ruins a lot of complicated scripts.
