So can someone suggest or just mention the libraries they are using for C++ or C#.

I was thinking about trying out Microsofts XNA or DarkGDK but a dutch man's gut isn't too sure about it.

peace out

But Zosma's gut doesn't like DarkGDK. Should I ignore his gut?

Yes ignore him. He's never used it anyway, so why stigma somthing you've never even tried?

My game's platform is DarkGDK with C++ and it's going fine:

I am currently studying basics at university. I don't really have the capability to make a good game, so i decided to use gdk/c++ for my current project. Kind of a decision i made.

edit:

Hm, I don't believe anyone at booleansoup is at the moment. I'd like to be proved wrong though.

I will use it next semester for sure, particuarly as our lecturer got us development licenses for xbox live.

I know C#, but not XNA. Might not be too difficult if it's Microsoft.

games are terrible

XNA games run on the PC fine, but you require your users to download the XNA runtime if I remember correctly.

And the 360 is the second most popular console right now, it's owned and used regularly by many millions of people.

The whole point of XNA is to convince people to make games with their easy to use framework that will run on all Microsoft platforms and no one elses. It's an effort in lock-in and seems to be working.

Uh, we all know XBOX360 is Microsoft?

Yes it's a lock in! Of course, and there is no point complaining, i mean how many people can sit at home and write for Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii? I think Microsoft have done the right thing.

omg i just said that.
