It's been said before, but the default skin is hideous. We all agree I think. So could the default be at least changed? I love Lisa myself: I think it fits perfectly. In the revisited site version we can throw another one in, but for now I propose Lisa. I use Lisa as well and we really don't need that much skins anyway.

I use Lisa too, but only because I don't like the colours on the default one. The default one is okay, but it's very image heavy, and the colours are just wrong. ____________ laffo |

It's a pain for me to see it, colourwise and that is the main problem I have with it. I don't like it being fixed-width either, but that is not the main issue (it does make the menu not being as left as possible as I had liked though). I do like that yellow guy, no problem with him, but I'm afraid the chaotic, high-contrastic look of it will scare people away, or am I overreacting here? A default skin should be more neutral than this. I don't know of one person using the default skin. Everyone I know either uses Lisa or Platypus, with the former being the one used most. This should be a sign that the default is not so cool as they are. Although Lisa is not right for a default skin either, because it doesn't promote Booleansoup enough (the banner is a bit plain). So the conclusion is that there should be a new skin (well we figured that out already). I think in particular the default skin should be one that will appeal to new visitors but doesn't necessarily have to be one that you would use yourself regularly.If anyone wants to make a new skin, just make up the html/css/images for an example page and we can work it in with the other skins. ____________ |
