The Only Thing Sweeter Than Honey

By Third Murderer (version 0.5)

Search - Random

Goal:
Retrieve your teddy bear from that jerkbag in the red shirt!

Requirements:
DirectX 9.0c

Controls:
A - Move left
D - Move right
W - Jump
Mouse - Click to send bees to that location
Space - Recall bees to your character
Escape - Pause/quit

Collect beehives to get some bee friends. Being hit by a bullet will kill some of your bees, or you if you do not have any. Red balls kill you instantly!

Use your bees to interact with certain objects!

Known Problems:
-Pausing sometimes fails to actually pause the action, usually while player is falling.
-Objects appear to slide around a bit while the map is scrolling. Should not effect gameplay.
-Sometimes bees are reluctant to move; clicking a few times should get them going again.
-Demo uses crappy MSPaint artwork and old Windows WAV files because I was lazy and pressed for time.
-Whole thing is pretty terrible.

Brilliant. This game is funny throughout, "By third murderer age 8", the graphics, the game goal.

The gameplay is pretty good. I like it that you can jump so high, the bee swarm element is pretty creative, falling down doesn't hurt you which is great, and the level design is creative. All good.

There are some bugs however - when minimizing, the game goes to 100% cpu power for me and needs to be terminated because I can't maximize it again. Hitting a bowling ball while having bees around me at one point launched me to the sky and I never fell down again. I was oddly launched to the right at some point in a similar way as I was launched to the sky, except that this time I could see the level fly by.

The graphics are cute in their own special way.
