Right, I'm Roelf, second year Computer Science student at Twente University, where life is good and the food better, and the girls non-existant. I find myself doing Java/C and PHP/SQL mostly nowadays. As a lot of others I started out in DIV, for me somewhere in 2000, a year before we finally got internet. Despite missing a lot of fun early on I am now catching up with most notably a shiny GP2x. Besides the catching up I spend my days sitting on my ass and dating Tim Howdle-Smith's mom.

What is exactly the difference between "computer science" and "applied computer science" ? I'd guess CS is more C++ and ACS is more Java ...

Usually the difference with 'applied' is that it's a more hands-on approach(less abstract), I doubt that has anything to do with the choice of primary teaching language though. Literally translated I would do Technical Computer Science, which comes down to more math and generally a more technical approach(my grandma could've concluded that  ).[Edited on January 19, 2006 by Moogle] ____________ I am Moogle and I approve this message. UML looks abstract enough for me and this is ACS ... I thought the difference between CS (don't read "counter-strike" lol) and ACS is that CS at uni is super complex. anyway, next year I'm bachelor, I hope. ____________ |

I am Thomas. I study Physics and Mathematics at the moment. Used to make alot of games in Div, now I hardly program anymore. If I program, its something study related: Mathematica or C (also Latex if you call that programming). The Butterfly Effect is your favourite film? That's a hella weird choice. I haven't seen it, but a film with that guy off punk*d would have to do something very special to become 'favourite film' status. Now, I'm not saying it's instantly a bad film, it just would have to be something very special to become a great one.

Um. Alright. You all know me anyway, though. I'm Daniel Evans, AKA Deadmaster. I'm 15, I live in southen England. I code in HTML/CSS and DIV/Fenix, although I've been considering learning C++ (more than the basics I know which I learnt about 4 months ago) for about... ooh, two years? I enjoy writing (I'm currently writing a book, and I have written numerous lyrics), game development and design, some crazy Japanese stuff, DIEEEEEEEEEE (Japanese rock star from Dir En Grey) and lots of assorted music - J-rock/pop, rock, post rock, a bit of emo (if you can call two bands "a bit"), metal, eletronica/dance/techno, darkwave, and a pinch of rap rock (although it has to be more rock than rap, and the subject can't be "crack 'n bitches"). Um, I'm open minded. Fairly. I'm not completely... 100% stable. I sometimes break down for no reason, I get violent mood swings (had them since I was about 12) where I can be suicidal one second and bouncy and happy the next. I've never drunk alcohol or smoked, and the smell of weed/pot makes me sick. I'm sorta reclusive... I kinda aspire to be a guy living in a country mansion away from everyone in the middle of nowhere, with like, 5 floors, and maybe a few other people just staying in some rooms or hiding... and sorta sink into a manic, insane mush where I start studying odd religions and the occult until... wait. I think I've been playing Clive Barkers UNDYING a bit too much Anyway. Yeah. Thats ME. ME, right there.
