Hey everyone ^^

Yup... I joined ;) been wondering what happened to DIV-ARENA some time ago and then Frimkron told me about this so YAY I'm registering and uploading my first DarkBASIC WIP as I write this ;).

Anyways... passing by the site, forum, etc. Looks real nice, love the site design! :D. Some things though...

1) The Forum layout is kinda strange in the threads list... there should be some kind of grid.. or even borders, so one could difference from one thread and another one, I find it quite hard for the view to distinguish which thread is who's.

2) In WIP uploads, "Don't plagiarize. Games with blatantly stolen graphics/sound and no author credit will be rejected." <- what about WIPS that don't show credits yet? would be accepted a credits notice (like, "The original game was made by XXXXXXX") in the description when you upload?

3) When you choose programming language, make sure there's also DarkBASIC Professional - as DarkBASIC Classic (DBC) is lotsa different from DarkBASIC Professional (DBPro) which mixes now kinda with .NET and there are apps now made in DBPro too, so there's no confusion between the two.

4) I think there should be more Game categories (instead of just strategy, action, adventure and platform), there are Role-Playing games too, First-Person shooters, etc... guess it can broad a bit more? :)

5) Same in Other Attributes, there could be more stuff ^^.

Either way, keep on it! :D nice site so far, so glad to be in here :)

Oh damn I just welcomed you in another thread. Ah, welcome again anyway. :D

You're right about that, I also noticed it. Just hit the guilty working monkey that is responsible for this (probably Ferret).

That's author credit too. I suppose it will be fine. If stuff isn't thát blalantly stolen at least (if it's a remake then it'll be fine).

No idea what this even means.
What style? There are no problems with Souperguy I can see regarding posts being clumped.

I think they mean on the (sub-)forum pages showing all the threads in the (sub-)forum.
Where it says "Blah blah posted by blah" and last post is "some date by blah". I'm figuring these young whipper snappers want these thingumajigs in seperate columns for ultimate usability!

Or at least one row with dark green, other row with darker green, next one with brighter green, next one with darker green... and so on, or at least one row without dark green border, other one with light green... besides, Souperguy is the best skin this site has... hey, at least it has images! xD

I'm still confused. What's wrong with it? I don't see any problems with distinguising the rows.

It's hard to the eyes when there are lots of threads (take a look at TEAG for example) X_X

I don't know what you expect us to do about it, there's a big line there as it is.

I don't have any problems with rows, though I agree with Darkguy that the topicstarter name right under the topic title is a bit unclear.

Colour the rows differentlty, it is quite a simple thing to do and looks awesome.

That reminds me - does anyone know how I set the padding for the forum post cells.. you know - those would be the dark green areas on Souperguy. The css class is "forumcontent" or something, but setting the padding property doesn't work on table cells for some reason.

If we can't do it with css, is there any chance we can stick a cellpadding="5" in the html or something? Because I hate the way the text is right up against the border there.

Wait - is that the only thing that looks wrong in Opera? Dude! High-five! I was expecting like the entire main section to be squashed over to the right or something

Looks fine here when using that skin, it has two lighter lines between the topics.
I'm using the Aqua skin though, because the Souperguy skin is sometimes being an ass, not showing the Post Reply button and trying to expand the screen, but fails due to fixed width, so text and images are not visable. Otherwise it's great though.

That happens here too (and on pretty much every computer I use). Frimkron is aware of it and is redoing the skin. And hopefully he's going it make it a lot less dark too. ;) And another main color perhaps eh. :P

What do you mean table cells?
Code:
tr.forumcontent td, tr.forumcontent th{
   padding: 10px 0px;
}

Also see the css reference for tables on W3Schools.

Colours have now finally been changed. As for images cocking up the layout, the HTML will have to change for that. I suggest losing the outer table for the thread view and instead just having the inner tables for each post. The outer table doesn't seem to do anything on this view anyway.
