Ludum Dare 20 is nigh!

April 23, 2011, by Eckolin

On April 29th, Ludum Dare 20 will begin!

Join the classic solo Competition and make a game from scratch within 48 hours! Who needs sleep anyway?

Alternatively there's the Jam, which allows for teams and has relaxed rules. Entries in the Jam won't be judged, but as an entrant you'll still be able to judge the Compo games. Even if you don't join, you can download and play the newly crafted masterpieces.

If you're new to LD, be sure to read the rules carefully. Voting for themes will begin soon, so make sure your favourite theme wins! And most importantly, have fun!

Chatroom temporarily out -> use #bilge2 instead

July 22, 2010, by (. )( .)

Invasion England has caused a horrible glitch in the matrix that causes everyone to lose their voice on #bilge. Don't worry though, us hackers have come up with a alternative solution to fight the evil system lords by creating a temporary channel: #bilge2.

Make being quiet all day your choice and join in.

Bennu Game Development - bennugd.co.uk

April 28, 2009, by Square

There is now a english forum for Bennu.

You will find here the latest news and builds for Bennu, coding help, a sumbissions showcase, tools and much more.

It's a lot better looking than the bennugd.org one and it's actually not spanish!! But seriously, it opens up Bennu support to a lot more people, and hopefully will inspire more people to use the great games-dev language Bennu.

Have fun!

Domain Name Problems

March 4, 2009, by Frimkron

As you may have noticed, the domain name had a brief(ish) period of being-expired-ness but its back under control now and the site is once again back on the interpipes.

What happened? Basically the site's previous host still had full control over the domain and let it expire without telling us. After a long wait they finally responded to our emails to let us know that they couldn't renew the domain because the credit card they had on file had expired. By the time we'd updated the payment details, the domain had entered the next stage in its long journey back into public availability - a stage which both the host and the registrar seemed to be confused about. The host told us to ask the registrar to renew the domain. The registrar told us to ask the host. Anyway, we've now managed to get the domain registered with a decent registrar so there'll be no more of this nonsense.

For future reference, the site can also be reached via http://www.booleansoup.org or failing that, http://bs.ruilhandel.net :)
